英文：weiqi,the game of go或the chess of go（但weiqi用得比较普遍，是我国提倡的英文译法）又可以译为“日本棋”Japanese chess。 在英文词汇中，有些中国的东西，因为最先由日本人传入西方国家，所以称呼都用日本发音。
